Materials & care
The structure of Ubbink pools is made of Northern Pine, originating from the cold regions of Northern Europe. The pool copings are made of Northern White Fir. The harsh climate creates particularly difficult growing conditions for the trees, giving the wood a very fine grain, smaller knots, and mechanical resistance among the best of the softwood species. These woods are impregnable, allowing for the penetration of a fungicide and insecticide treatment to provide effective resistance against attacks from insects, fungi, and termites. Ubbink pool structures are treated to class 4, which corresponds to the use of wood in a systematically humid environment and in contact with the ground. The treatment station is CTB-P+ certified, guaranteeing the procedure and the level of impregnation for all Ubbink wooden parts.
Compatibility
Compatible with above-ground, semi-inground, or fully sunken setups. When sinking the pool, install a dimpled drainage membrane against the outer walls and backfill with gravel as the pool fills with water.
How to use
Install on a perfectly level 20 cm thick concrete base with proper reservations for the metal support cradle. Assemble the interlocking tongue-and-groove wooden planks, fit the protective felt, and install the 60/100 liner before filling with water and connecting the sand filtration unit.
